Depression & Anxiety

  • Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point or repeatedly in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Trauma & PTSD

  • Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.  I have found that a combination of mindfulness, DBT and EMDR therapy along with healthy lifestyle habits brings powerful and lasting results.

Substance Abuse or Addiction Recovery

  • Anxiety and depression can also linger or even seem worse after becoming sober. For those recovering from substance use, early treatment will focus on strengthening your distress tolerance and self soothing skills as well as building a solid foundation of lifestyle habits that support recovery and relapse prevention.  We'll also build EMDR resourcing skills that will support you through the process of healing from past traumatic experiences.

Mindfulness and DBT Skills

  • Continuing support after IOP or residential treatment can help you to solidify the DBT skills and mindfulness practices you were introduced to in your prior treatment experiences.  At Irving Mindful Therapy, LLC, you will be able to solidify and expand on those skills as well as work towards building the lifestyle habits and routines that will keep you moving forward along your recovery journey.

Support for Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy

  • Using behavior change strategies, compassion and psycho-education I support clients in developing the lifestyle habits they need when participating in ketogenic metabolic therapy to improve mental health symptoms.  *These Clients must be working with a medical doctor or prescriber and dietician trained in use of the ketogenic diet. 
  • There is a growing body of research literature that shows improvement of symptoms of depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders with use of this dietary intervention.
